Become a Mystery Shopper for your mental health service provider. Chris Bumstead, Head of Patients and Public Involvement from the CNWL NHS Foundation Trust and Shalinie Tawarie will present the Carers Mystery Shopping Project and are hoping to recruit participants from Kensington and Chelsea to a Trustwide initiative to capture the experiences of carers in the contacts with community and inpatient mental health services of the Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The event takes place in Committee Room 1, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX on the 18th October 2012 from 18:00 - 20:00. Refreshments and Information Sharing.

OPEN MIC AND POETRY WORKSHOP. Learn to write and present your own poetry with Leah Cohen and Jake Claret. There is a chance to perform your own poetry at open mic on Thursday 19th July 2012 from 18:00 - 20:00. Venue: Committee Room 3&4 Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX. Nearest tube: High Street Kensington. Leah Cohen and Jake Claret are published poets and writers, running the Petersfield Write Angle poetry and music open mic nights. Carers and other participating members will have an opportunity to present their work after the workshop at the open mic. This evening promises to be a lot of fun.  "Proposed Changes to Inpatient Services" is the topic of next Thursday's meeting on 21st June 2012 18:00-21:00 at Committee Room 1, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street London W87NX. Speakers from Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL)include Angela McGee, Acute Services and K&C Service Director, Dr. Cornelius Kelly,Clinical Director, Acute Services, Nicola Howells, Acute Services Project Manager. Following the pilot closure of Mulberry North ward at the South Kensington and Chelsea Centre for Mental Health,we would like to feedback on the findings of the pilot evaluation. Both the pilot and a wider review of inpatient services provided by CNWL have informed proposals to make further changes to provision of inpatient services in the Boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.CNWL will be giving a short presentation on the development of these plans to date and seeking your feedback on what is being proposed.
